I’ve dreamed of owning my own store, and after a frustrating day of analysis paralysis about what I wanted to be store owner for, I stumbled across this post from A Better Lemonade Stand:
Remember, and never forget, you’ll learn 100x more from actually starting a business, than you ever will from just consuming articles, blogs, books and podcasts. There is no substitution for real world experience of building traffic and learning to convert it.
So my mind wandered to what I have to offer on a shirt. Well, I’m British… I’ve very British. Maybe it’s because I’m the only British person in my peer group, but I’m always being reminded of my British Heritage. So I guess that makes me an expert… right? And I love my new American home, so I guess that’s something I’m a expert in too. And when you combine my British-ness, and my awe of all things ‘Murica, and throw in a little humo(u)r, you might have a good theme. So to hell with it, my new t-shirt store is going to be about being a foreigner. Or expat. Or whatever the term is these days.
I hope you enjoy what I have to offer. All designs are mine, and I will continue to delve into the depths of my visa-ridden mind to create more wonderful stuff. If you have ideas, feel free to drop me a line. My email is simple – Red Solo Teacup at Gmail dot com. Yep, I’ve not got as far as to be domain-branded, yet.
Baby steps. I’m glad to have you walking them with me.
